Like most moms, I'm always on the lookout for good {read: healthy}, kid friendly snack ideas.
I whipped up this white bean dip today a with a 2:1 success- Maxton and I liked it, Maiya wasn't a big fan. Then again, Max will eat nearly everything, including non-edible items, so not sure his vote quite counts at this stage.
I'm a huge garlic fan- but this recipe was still a bit on the strong side for me. Perhaps I will either chop the cloves more finely next time, or try roasting them first. It's a great base and texture, but I'd like to add more flavors to it.
Jalepenos? Fresh herbs? Bacon? {minus 10 healthy points}.
What would you add?

There is so much you could do with that recipe. Fresh herbs would be awesome... maybe some cilantro? How about goat cheese and chives? Lemon and rosemary?
Darn it... now I'm hungry again....
Gonna have to try this...Sounds delicious! You just couldn't get that hummus from the museum off your mind, could you? I like Tera's ideas too, you could have a variety of bean dips to choose from with all those suggestions.
Ooh that looks delish! I'll def. have to try that. Thanks for sharing!
Tera, those are all wonderful ideas!
Lauren, you are sooo right about that!
